Our Youth Programs are designed as an introduction to soccer in a local, less competitive environment with players split into the following age specific groups.
Mini Kicks 2 and 3 years old
Pee Wees 4 and 5 years old
Intramural 6 and 7 years old
Recreational 8, 9, and 10 years old
Mini Kicks is a developmentally appropriate program for toddlers ages 2 and 3 that introduces the basic principles of soccer through fun activities and games. A caregiver must be present with each player to help guide them through the activities that will be led by a SBSC's very own Coach Emily. This program runs once per week, usually on a Wednesday evening.
All other Youth Programs run on a Saturday morning. On arrival, Pee Wee, Intramural, and Recreational players are evenly split into small groups and then challenged in a 30-minute practice with a qualified SBSC/SUSA staff member.
At the end of 30 minutes, each group will then be split into two and challenged in a small sided game, managed by the same SBSC/SUSA staff member.
It is our strong belief that all players should be given an equal opportunity to learn the game, while also being challenged in a competitive environment.
Parents, guardians, family, and friends are encouraged to attend, however will be asked to stay in specific viewing spaces.
